Some people tell me that one should always only one shampoo. others say we should keep changing. whats true?

those who advocate changing hair shampoo every few months also recommend the same for tooth paste etc. the reason they give is that no product is perfect hence changing it every few weeks/months prevents lack of something in some product from causing negative effect due to long term usageSome people tell me that one should always only one shampoo. others say we should keep changing. whats true?
it's good to use a shampoo for atelast a month or so to get the true effect of it but you also don't want it to build up so it's best to use another shampoo once a week to get rid of the build up. If you find a shampoo you feel works for you, keep using it but remember to change it up every once and a while, just for a day or two, to give your hair a break. Some people tell me that one should always only one shampoo. others say we should keep changing. whats true?
its the same with a lot products i.e. shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, face wash. I don't know if its just a wive's tale to get other products to consumers though.
i Suggest that you find a few diffrent kinds of products that work on your hair and you do change every few months or weeks.. i also think i should take my own advice.. after a while the same product stops doing as much as it used to
Buy two shampoos. If you stay with one especially one with conditioner in it after the third and fourth week, your hair wont behave as it normally does. It will lay flat/ I dont know why this happens but it does and I can atest to it. Buy two great shampoos. Shampoo for some reason is different from toothpastes. Tooth paste you get what you pay for if you buy crest (sorry crest ) your going to get crest quality. Crest is watered down and not nearly abrasive to remove plaque. If you buy Colgate (which happens to be the most abbrasive all inclusive dental formula) you get the very best there is in toothpastes.
Switching every few months is the way to go. Each different shampoo strips your hair of some things and adds other things. Switching shampoos balances things out. I've been doing this for years and I have very healthy (long) hair.
I THINK PEOPLE JUST LIKE TO TRY DIFFERENT THINGS WITH ALL OF THE ADS SO WHEN THEY NEED TO REPLACE THEY JUST TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
find a shampoo that best suites you and stay with it, unless something bad happens
I believe this is absolutely right. Although with toothpastes you can use one toothpaste and then add say a mouthwash or bleaching kit. With shampoo I highly recommend switching. Let's say one day you spend at the beach and your hair is really greasy or has a lot of product in it, then you should shampoo w/ a clarifying shampoo. If it's winter and your hair is dry then try something more moisturizing, definitely not clarifying.
change it you'll hair will fall less
The truth is no soap , no hope.

Anything will do---even dish liquid.

Clean hair, clean air.

Now toothpaste....floride is now known to cause memory loss.

Use sensitive or enamel care.

Calcium is the key to good teeth , not floride.
I have an American Girl Book about hair and this is what it says:

'; If a shampoo works well on your hair, you should be able to keep using it.';

ps i know that this is aboy name but i am using my brothers account because he is older than me
i think this only applies by seasons or if you move to a different climate or your water softness or hardness changes. i haven't heard that about toothpaste or anything else. people may think this because they like trying new stuff. i have been using some of the same hair products cross-seasons for months and they still work. changing hair products often can lead to bad hair because we never really get to see what works and forget what worked in the first place.

if a product works its just works. it isn't lacking anything at all.
yeah changing around is a good idea
I like to use pantene for a while and then switch to John Frieda, they work as a GREAT combo for me!!! My hair is shiny, lush and easy to manage. TRY IT! You can even find your own combo to switch around too! I bet you'll look amazing!

:-) smiles from me!!!
ah change is always good
