any mild shampoo like Ivory will work, but why bathe, the cat should keep it's self clean.
You want to choose a few bath products for your Sphynx before doing anything else. Go to your local pet store and browse the cat section. Find the aisle that has bathing supplies. Look for a high quality shampoo. It should be labeled, ';For Cats and Kittens';, or ';For Dogs and Cats';. Never, ';For Dogs and Puppies';, ';For use on Ferrets';, or anything like that. After choosing soap, get a simple sponge. Not a kitchen sponge, but one of those big ones used for bathing or showering. You won't find these at pet stores, but you can buy one at Family Dollar or Big Lots. Then, get some cotton balls for cleaning sensitive areas like behind the ears or under the eyes, and a few towels for drying off and putting at the bottom of where your cat will be bathed. If you want to clean the inside of your cat's ears, get a package of Q-Tips, too.

Put a clean towel at the bottom of your kitchen sink and fill it half way with warm water. Don't worry about the towel floating to the top, the cat's weight will keep it in place.

Put a small amount of the cat shampoo in the water and mix until it is sudsy.

Gently place the cat into the sink. Put some of the shampoo into a cup and mix it with water. This makes it easier to wash off. (This works well with dogs, too.)

Wet the sponge and pour your mixture onto it.

Lather it onto your cat very gently. Make sure that you wash everywhere!

Wet a cotton ball with clean water, and clean behind the ears, under and in the corners of the eyes, and by the nose.

Drain your sink,or if your sink has two compartments, put sudsy water in one part and clean water in the other. If not, hold your cat while it drains, and put clean water in the sink once the sudsy water is gone.

Rinse all the soap off the Sphynx cat. Once he/she is all clean, dry him/her with a soft fluffy towel. Make sure your cat is completely dry before putting the towel away.

When dry,put a sweater on your cat, or if it's hot outside, a little sunscreen, and give him/her a treat.
Shampoo is for fur and this cat doesn't have any. Just use a few drops of mild dish soap. DAWN works best.
Nature has supplied most animals with their own natural way of keeping clean, and they cannot cope with soap and water the way humans do.

Cats especially can keep themselves clean, which is why they are always washing themselves. Many animals have a natural protection in their fur or feathers, which protects them rain and cold. Bathing animals with soap and water will remove this protection and the animals could catch cold and die.

Please think long and hard before giving your cat a bath. In the absolute worse case scenario, put some flour or cornstarch into the coat and brush it out. That will get rid of any odors your cat might have.

You can actually make an animal very sick by trying to wash it. You might make it catch the flu and die.

Just a quick FYI: some people mistakenly believe bathing a pet is a way to bond with them. It doesn鈥檛. In order to bond with a pet, all experiences need to be positive, and bathing is more than likely to cause distrust and fear.
For people who don't understand, Sphynx cats, being hairless produce more sebum that helps protect the skin. But this sebum can build up and leave oil stains where ever the cat lays, sits, etc...

Sphynx cats, like hairless chihuahuas need regular bathing.

Ask your vet for the best shampoo for your cat. You want one that will cut the waxy sebum so it can be removed. Also, contact your breeder and ask them what you should use. If you bought this kitten from a pet store, get it vetted immediately. If there is something wrong with the kitten you can take it back to the pet store and get your money back. Most pet stores have a 2-3 day health guarantee. But most pet stores sell sick animals from puppy and kitten mills.
