Head and shoulders shampoo? which one cleans better?

head and shoulders smooth%26amp;silky vs. classic clean!

so which one cleans better?

the smooth and silky one or the classic clean one?

Head and shoulders shampoo? which one cleans better?
classic all the way, did u know head and shoulders or any other dandruff shampoo protects you from lice.

Some people tell me that one should always only one shampoo. others say we should keep changing. whats true?

those who advocate changing hair shampoo every few months also recommend the same for tooth paste etc. the reason they give is that no product is perfect hence changing it every few weeks/months prevents lack of something in some product from causing negative effect due to long term usageSome people tell me that one should always only one shampoo. others say we should keep changing. whats true?
it's good to use a shampoo for atelast a month or so to get the true effect of it but you also don't want it to build up so it's best to use another shampoo once a week to get rid of the build up. If you find a shampoo you feel works for you, keep using it but remember to change it up every once and a while, just for a day or two, to give your hair a break. Some people tell me that one should always only one shampoo. others say we should keep changing. whats true?
its the same with a lot products i.e. shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, face wash. I don't know if its just a wive's tale to get other products to consumers though.
i Suggest that you find a few diffrent kinds of products that work on your hair and you do change every few months or weeks.. i also think i should take my own advice.. after a while the same product stops doing as much as it used to
Buy two shampoos. If you stay with one especially one with conditioner in it after the third and fourth week, your hair wont behave as it normally does. It will lay flat/ I dont know why this happens but it does and I can atest to it. Buy two great shampoos. Shampoo for some reason is different from toothpastes. Tooth paste you get what you pay for if you buy crest (sorry crest ) your going to get crest quality. Crest is watered down and not nearly abrasive to remove plaque. If you buy Colgate (which happens to be the most abbrasive all inclusive dental formula) you get the very best there is in toothpastes.
Switching every few months is the way to go. Each different shampoo strips your hair of some things and adds other things. Switching shampoos balances things out. I've been doing this for years and I have very healthy (long) hair.
I THINK PEOPLE JUST LIKE TO TRY DIFFERENT THINGS WITH ALL OF THE ADS SO WHEN THEY NEED TO REPLACE THEY JUST TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
find a shampoo that best suites you and stay with it, unless something bad happens
I believe this is absolutely right. Although with toothpastes you can use one toothpaste and then add say a mouthwash or bleaching kit. With shampoo I highly recommend switching. Let's say one day you spend at the beach and your hair is really greasy or has a lot of product in it, then you should shampoo w/ a clarifying shampoo. If it's winter and your hair is dry then try something more moisturizing, definitely not clarifying.
change it you'll hair will fall less
The truth is no soap , no hope.

Anything will do---even dish liquid.

Clean hair, clean air.

Now toothpaste....floride is now known to cause memory loss.

Use sensitive or enamel care.

Calcium is the key to good teeth , not floride.
I have an American Girl Book about hair and this is what it says:

'; If a shampoo works well on your hair, you should be able to keep using it.';

ps i know that this is aboy name but i am using my brothers account because he is older than me
i think this only applies by seasons or if you move to a different climate or your water softness or hardness changes. i haven't heard that about toothpaste or anything else. people may think this because they like trying new stuff. i have been using some of the same hair products cross-seasons for months and they still work. changing hair products often can lead to bad hair because we never really get to see what works and forget what worked in the first place.

if a product works its just works. it isn't lacking anything at all.
yeah changing around is a good idea
I like to use pantene for a while and then switch to John Frieda, they work as a GREAT combo for me!!! My hair is shiny, lush and easy to manage. TRY IT! You can even find your own combo to switch around too! I bet you'll look amazing!

:-) smiles from me!!!
ah change is always good

Paul Mitchell Shampoo One...?

Hey!! I bought Paul Mitchell Shampoo One yesterday and I haven't used it yet, but before I do use it, I want to make sure it's not going to damage my hair...I have extremely fine, dry, straight/wavy hair. I straighten and blow dry my hair everyday so it is pretty overly processed...is this shampoo gentle enough for my hair? Will it be too harsh? Also, I purchased Paul Mitchell ';The Conditioner'; to use afterwards. Thanks for all of your help!!!! :)Paul Mitchell Shampoo One...?
those are 2 of the best products to use when your hair is damaged...a word of advice from a hairstylist...after you shampoo and before you condition towl dry your hair it will help the conditioner sink in and penetrate more! hope i was helpfull

Can i use a shampoo of one brand a conditioner of another brand one after the other? will it damage my hair?

Yes you can mix different brands of products. No it will not damage your hair. The next time you go to your beautician notice that she probably uses different stuff while washing your hair. Sometimes they like a certain conditioner and not the matching shampoo. It's very common and people do it all the time. Can i use a shampoo of one brand a conditioner of another brand one after the other? will it damage my hair?
You can switch up brands any way you like, and that won't do it damage. You damage your hair by using chemicals like dye %26amp; perms, by using a curling iron and/or hair dryer. Certain hair bands and barrettes/combs can break your hair, so be wary of those. Can i use a shampoo of one brand a conditioner of another brand one after the other? will it damage my hair?
no it will not damage it.
Yes, don't worry about it.
Are you serious?? Because if you are, you need not be without supervision (I am sorry to be so crass, but COME ON!!)

Now in response to your question... YES, you can use ANY brands in ANY combination you like, all taking into consideration that you ARE using shampoo intended for human use... Stay away from the shampoo and conditioners aisle at the pet shop just as a safeguard.... Other than that, please do not use lye to wash your hair, you may clean more than your hair with it...
haha... seriously?... no, mixing will not damage your hair... =]
it will not hurt your hair.

I've head of dry shampoo for oily hair, but where can I buy one at?

I usually have to wash my hair everyday and I've heard of dry shampoo, but I haven't seen it in stores. Would I have to get that at a salon? It just seems like my scalp gets oily and my ends are more dry. I put conditioner just on the ends, but my scalp still gets oily. Any suggestions on what to do?I've head of dry shampoo for oily hair, but where can I buy one at?
Cornstarch can help. Take a little cornstarch in a saucer. Dip the tips of your fingers in the powder and then dab on the oily areas of your hair. Fluff gently and brush off. It can be a bit messy. Try to use as little as possible.I've head of dry shampoo for oily hair, but where can I buy one at?
the store
Sallys Beauty Supply carries a dry shampoo for oily hair
You can find dry shampoo at a drugstore. But basically it is talcum powder. So, in a pinch, just sprinkle a little talcum powder at the crown of your hair and take a dry washcloth to rub it in and absorb the extra oil. Then take a brush and brush out the excess.
i have a dry shampoo. its called psssst. i think you can get it a drug stores. also if you need a wet shampoo prell is good for oily hair.

I have a long curly and dry hair how can i make it like like the one in shampoo commercial? pleasssseee help?

USE THE SHAMPOO THEY USE IN THE COMMERCIAL. IF IT DON'T WORK USE A RELAXER AND THEN STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR. IT MIGHT SHINE AND YOU MIGHT LOOK SO HOT AND CUTE.I have a long curly and dry hair how can i make it like like the one in shampoo commercial? pleasssseee help?
Those commercials have hairdressers that spend time and use a lot of products and tools to get the model's hair to look like that. Believe me, you won't get your hair like that without a lot of work.

Find a shampoo and conditioner for dry hair, and you will find your curls are shinier and smoother.

If you want your hair straight, that will take blow drying it straight.I have a long curly and dry hair how can i make it like like the one in shampoo commercial? pleasssseee help?

  • Which shampoo is the right one for me?

I have a frizzy, dry hair, and its all wavy and gross, and sometimes when i put anti frizz , my hair become oily, i want to have straight, silky hair, which shampoo will be the right one for me? Thanks for the informationWhich shampoo is the right one for me?
I'm thinking that the anti frizz is making your hair worse.

if you haven't already. try shampoo and conditioner for dry hair.

avoid the frizz kind for now.

using salon formula is best. such as Suave or Herbal Essence. To name a few.

Asking a beautician is good also.

Never use a dryer. they will dry out your hair and make it more frizzy also.Which shampoo is the right one for me?
My hair is similar. Its really wavy and can get gross. I use Head and Shoulders- that makes your hair really soft. Then I use Suave conditioner- that makes your hair really shiny. Also, because I usually straighten my hair, I use Dove heat control shampoo. But sometimes you need to use a daily clarifier cuz the heat controll thing can cause buildup. This is the ONLY thing that works for me and my friends(and guys too!) are ALWAYS patting my hair saying how pretty it is!

I need a good ferret shampoo. Any one know one?

My little man is DEW (Dark eyed white) and i need a good ferret shampoo that will brighten his coat and make him look more white. I'm just looking for a shampoo maybe even people who show their ferrets use. I just want my little man to look his best. He's my only pet so i spoil him lolI need a good ferret shampoo. Any one know one?
The best I have found is called Hi-Lyte (there's a whole line of shampoos, cream rinses, and leave-in conditioners that don't contain soap or harsh chemicals). It's sold at vet offices. It is soap-free and full of softeners and fatty acids. It also doesn't make them produce more oils, so they don't go through the 'smells worse than before' phase. They just smell *good* and it won't irritate skin. A good pore-opener and de-clogger is Oxy-Dex. It's a little stronger (so don't use it each time 1-2 times a year), and you can follow up with Hi-Lyte cream rinse. Oxy-Dex is good for ferrets prone to rat-tail or black heads (has benzole peroxide--so spot treatment might be best if you do need to use it).I need a good ferret shampoo. Any one know one?
i asked a pet store the same question and they said not to bath your ferrets because it releases odors from their skin which causes them to stink. (why some ferrets stink)

but there is an oil you can buy at a local pet store to use to clean them without causing the odor.
Ferret Sheen-Cucumber Melon Scent. Tear free, gentle, makes coat soft and shiny, eliminates odors. I found this to be the best shampoo.
well i use baby shampoo on my rats because all teh regular pet shampoos driy my rats skins out and fur, so the baby shampoo makes there hair really soft and stuff....

Would you buy a pH-balanced shampoo, or one that is not? Explain your answer?

Shampoo, like most detergents and soaps, is basic because of its manufacturing process. However, the phrase ';pH-balanced'; is just a marketing gimmick. My question is always, ';Balanced to what?'; Does it mean the pH is close to that of water (~6-7)? Is it meant to imply that it matches your skin's pH (~5)? Out of curiousity, I have tested the pH of shampoos (even ones that are advertised as pH-balanced) and they are generally in the range of 10-12.

    I'm not saying that shampoos claiming to be pH-balanced are a waste of money or don't work, but don't use that claim to base your choice on. Personally, I feel insulted by the attempt to sound scientific while saying nothing. As the old saying goes, ';If you can't impress them with knowledge, baffle them with bulls..t!';

Is there any shampoo better than head & shoulders because that one is just not working for me. Can u help?

I love herbal Essence to me it leaves your hair more shinny and smells great. But if you want a product that's really hot on the market and revives and makes your hair healthy try WEN. But try and experiment with different shampoos cause a lot of them specialize in different hair types.Selsunblue is for hair and scalp thats itchy or flacky if thats your problem. Goodluck and have funIs there any shampoo better than head %26amp; shoulders because that one is just not working for me. Can u help?
I have the same problem but I've found that masks that you put on your head and leave for a few minutes, then wash out, work well. Have a look around and see what you can find.Is there any shampoo better than head %26amp; shoulders because that one is just not working for me. Can u help?
I use head %26amp; shoulders and it helped me but everybody is different. maybe try something with tree tea oil in it. I have heard that it helps.

I alternate my shampoo from time to time.
I change every two weeks, I'll keep on changing till I find the one that goes best with my hair.
I alternate my brand of shampoo though. To me, it may help into maintaining a healthy hair though.

Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)
    i try to be faithful

however so many to choose from now.

they say it is not good

    to change alot
i alternate because apparently after a while your hair become used to the shampoo you use and it doesnt work as effectively. say, if you use a greasy hair shampoo. it wont work as well.
i alternate all the time. first its like garnier then herbal essences and i dont know what to do next. well, ill think of one wen my herbal one is empty. o ya i also alternate it like straightning shampoo or curly. i think im gonna stick with curly shampoos though.
Alternate every 2 weeks....I alternate according to the weather!
I don't care abut brand , i think use whatever is available.
I only have one bottle of shampoo :P
I alternate every two weeks. Your hair starts to accumulate build up and switching off with prevent it.
alternate! I love try new things!!
I buy the best name brand that has a good sale price that week.
I buy whats on sale. However I only use Matrix Curl Life on my son its the best thing I've found for his naturally curly hair but it last forever.

Which shampoo smells the best? Which one does your bf/gf like on you?

Grocery marketed shampoo (Yes this is Pantene) are horrible products, always.

My bf likes Biolage Hydra Therapie (sic) on me. He can always detect it.

Doesnt hurt that I use Patchouli oil as a perfume, as its an afrodesiac. (sp?)
i would definitely recommend Aussie cleanse and mend shampoo and conditioner. They smell SO good and everyone compliments me on my hair. I will never use another one[:
I use biolage, which my boyfriend loves! Also, i would get a hair shine serum from herbal essences in a good smelling scent and spray it on your hair every morning. It works every time!!
i use so sexy fromm victorias secrettt(:

What kind of shampoo do you care 2 in one or seperates?

Me I get 2 in oneWhat kind of shampoo do you care 2 in one or seperates?
2 in 1, it saves time and my hair comes out completely smooth and silky....What kind of shampoo do you care 2 in one or seperates?
Separate. 2 in ones either leave my hair oily or static depending on how long I rinse my hair.
I have to use separate shampoo and conditioner 2-1 leaves my hair dry.
    dove shampoo
Shampoo and conditioner should be separate, bur its up2 u
separate because i find there is not enough conditioner in the 2-in-1
iv tried them both and i definately think separates... my hair is always smoother wen i use a separate conditioner
    seperates :)
i use separates. as i cant untangle unless i leave in conditioning at least 5 minutes. keeps my locks shiny.
separate.. I have to rotate my shampoo after a few weeks it builds up and my hair needs something new for a while. Just goes limp :-\
    separate
As a woman of color, it wold be a disaster for me to use a 2 in 1 it would dry my hair out and I would truly look like a ';Hot Mess';!
    i get shampoo and caditanor!!!!!!!

Did any one know that head and shoulders shampoo diffuses the hair ingirdients and changes the color to white?

well... i have heared of it.. i didn't know if it was trueDid any one know that head and shoulders shampoo diffuses the hair ingirdients and changes the color to white?
well how come my brothers hair is not white?Did any one know that head and shoulders shampoo diffuses the hair ingirdients and changes the color to white?
what on earth are hair ';ingirdients';?
the color of the hair to white?

if thats what you mean then you are sadly mistaken

nothing contains the ingredients to do that to hair...

if your is doing that to your hair you might have a medical problem or someone put stuff in your shampoo. :)

since the ONLY way to make hair white is by bleaching
Are you sure? are you a scientist or somenting?! :)

For shampoo to be damaging, do you need BOTH lauryl/laureth in the formula, or just one of those?

It's impossible to find a shampoo under like 8 dollars that has none of those chemicals, but garnier fructis seems ok, and its pretty cheap to, but it contains sodium lauryl sulfate, but NOT sodium laureth. So, is it only damaging if both are used at the same time? For shampoo to be damaging, do you need BOTH lauryl/laureth in the formula, or just one of those?
No they are both damaging independently. Sodium Laureth Sulfate is slightly less damaging than Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

You're right about it being pretty much impossible to find a shampoo that is sulfate-free for under $8 - but you get what you pay for. Here are some lines that offer sulfate free shampoos, but you'll have to check the prices:

    Burt's Bees: http://www.burtsbees.com

    Carol's Daughter: http://www.carolsdaughter.com/

    Aubrey Organics: http://aubreyorganics.com/

    Blended Beauty: http://blendedbeauty.com

    Kinky Curly: http://kinkycurly.com

    Trader Joe's Refresh Shampoo: http://www.traderjoes.com

    Avalon Organics: http://www.avalonorganics.com/

If you have kinky or curly hair, you can do away with shampoo all together and just co-wash. It's when you use only conditioner to wash your hair. Conditioner still contains detergents which will make your hair clean, but they are not as harsh as the sulfates found in most shampoos. Most people experience softer, more moisturized hair. In addition, it is comparatively cheap to using organic shampoos because it only requires light drugstore conditioners.

if it said it an advert then it's probably true, otherwise they would be in trouble for false advertising. it sounds plausible, head and shoulders has been around for years and has established itself as ahousehold name.
I would guess that Pantene or Suave would be the number one shampoo. Maybe it's Head and Shoulders though.
    Pantene Pro-V
    well it's anti dandruff .......
Head and shoulders has a weird smell.

Is there any one using brilliant brunette shampoo and conditioner by John frieda?

i am using it .i have straight normal hair and i haven`t seen any difference even after a month .Any one tried it as well with the same results or has someone used it and had g8 success.Any stories out there pls.Is there any one using brilliant brunette shampoo and conditioner by John frieda?
I got lured into the claim that it does something special for brown hair. It doesn't. It smells good, but I don't see how it does anything that ordinary shampoos and conditioners. In fact, I looked at the ingredients, which are quite similar to most of the less expensive products available. It's just a marketing ploy- to make women (and some men) feel like they have a ';special'; product that does something for their specific hair color that no other product will do.Is there any one using brilliant brunette shampoo and conditioner by John frieda?
I'm using the same one for blondes and i hate it. I find it weighs my wavy fine hair down. Plus it made my color look ashy.
I've been using the brilliant brunette products for about a year and I love them (especially because they smell like chocolate!) I have straight, thin hair and I find that I get the best results when I use the volumizing shampoo--the regular moisturizing one really flattened my hair. I also use some of the other products, like the finishing cream and the mousse. I'm not sure what kind of difference you're looking for, but it's not really going to make a difference in the color of your hair despite what the name suggests. You can get lots of shine with the finishing cream, and there's also another gel that you can put in your hair (I forget what it's called, something with ';shine'; in the name probably)--you put it in immediately after getting out of the shower and your hair comes out extra shiny, which illuminates different shades of brown in your hair a little bit.
my girlfriend uses it and I can't see the difference. try telling her it's a waist of money! think only 2 shampoos make a difference if you need it: conditioner and anti-dandruff.
I have tried the brunette and it made my hair seem dull. Switched to the red and like it more.
i use it but i am gonna change because it weighs my beautiful curly/wavy hair down.
I hate jonh frieda i have used his shampoo and condtioner and it just made my hair look soo washed out i swiched to pantene pro-v blonde expressions and i love it it made my hair way shiny i've got loads of complements maybe you should swich?

My furniture smells like our dog and I was wondering if I could shampoo it with one of thos shampoo vaccums?

You can rent a steam machine to clean the furniture then when dry spray with scotch guard. After that regular treatments of fabreeze will keep it smelling fresh. My furniture smells like our dog and I was wondering if I could shampoo it with one of thos shampoo vaccums?
First, don't rent a steam cleaner from the grocery, they don't work that well. Second buy a bissel steam cleaner, it does. I can't live without mine. Third, when you do clean it, don't use scotchgard. I had a friend who interned there and he said it is mostly water (like 90%) and the active ingredients quickly just flake off. Real scotchgarding has to be baked on. Next, don't let your pets on the couch if you don't want it to smell, remeber you are thier master, not the other way around. Finally, febreeze everyday or every couple of days.My furniture smells like our dog and I was wondering if I could shampoo it with one of thos shampoo vaccums?
yes you can but febreeze is easier and less messy
i dont know about shampoo but for odour in fabric and carpets sprinkle with bicarbanate of soda leave then hoover up bit like shake n vac but cheaper n it leaves clean air no dog or artificial smells as it absorbs them
Have you tried Febreeze? Or, maybe Arm %26amp; Hammer carpet deodorizor - I am not sure if shampooing would be advisable...
i don't think you can use that it will mess up you couch
You can shampoos most furniture. However, if it is just a doggy smell, it may not really be dirty. Try soaking it with Febreeze and letting that dry. Vacuum it off real well first.

How does one tell an ex that their treatment of their children (dog shampoo for head lice) is unacceptble?

I don't want to lose access to my children by questioning and infuriating their mother. How does one tell an ex that their treatment of their children (dog shampoo for head lice) is unacceptble?
You do know that dog shampoo is as safe as baby shampoo in most cases? While it wont get rid of lice, it wont hurt the kids. Its made with the same stuff as baby shampoo because it is almost impossible to keep it out of the pets eyes, and the pet is going to lick it.

After reading the next person, I asked my grandmother who is up on all the home remedies. She says using dog shampoo is a legit alternative. And as I already said, its safe, wont hurt the kids. How does one tell an ex that their treatment of their children (dog shampoo for head lice) is unacceptble?
By reading everyones statements, I guess not to many people hear have had lice. Well...I have and my kids have and my cousins kids and so on...Dog shampoo does work. I know people say to just by lice killer shampoo but sometimes that's too expensive and dog schampoo doesn't hurt the kids heads. I mean I don't recommend them to use on a daily bases but to kill the lice, yes it works. We have used it before because we didn't have the money to by the med. but we had dog shampoo cause we had a dog.

It will kill the lice unless there is just too many lice in the kids heads then you HAVE to buy the meds.
Just flat out say it. The two of you are adults and should be able to communicate with one another in regards to your children without getting into petty fights or arguments.

    Call your ex, and say to her ';I just wanted to have a quick chat with you about when our kids got head lice. I really don't think the dog shampoo was appropriate to use on them.. in the future would you mind just grabbing some of the shampoo that's specifically formulated for head lice? If you can't, I can pick some up for you it's not a problem.';

Also, if things like this are happening on a frequent basis, you'll need to document them. Once you have enough documentation about how she abuses, neglects, or otherwise harms your children, you take her to court and sue for custody. Your children should be safe, and if they are not they need to be with you.

Anyway, if she loses it or starts getting all angry with you or rude, just say ';I wasn't trying to upset you, I just want what's best for the kids and wanted to make sure we're on the same page. Sorry if I've insulted you in any way, that wasn't my intention.'; And then get off the phone. If you're nothing but plesant and considerate of the children, she can't really fault you for that. Even if she's immature enough to fault you for that, no court system would. :)

    Good luck.

P.S. If she tries to not allow you access to the kids without a court order, call the police and hav ethem escort you to her house. You will need a copy of the agreement you have that outlines the times you are allowed to see the kids, but the police WILL escort you there and force her to release the children to you.
Just tell her how you feel about it. Be honest and go by the rid your self.

I will say this however say this about your ex and the dog shampoo. It really isn't that big of deal like everyone on here wants you to believe.

Back when I was growing up we were pretty poor and I got head lice from a neighbor and my mom used the lice dog shampoo and it was a cheaper and bigger bottle than the rid!! It did the job and it never killed me or damaged my scalp. It worked just as good as the other lice shampoo.

But do what you feel is right.
It is simple, go and buy the lice shampoo and give it to her to use. Then just tell her you wanted to help out and try to get rid of it as badly as she does. You can also find info. online about treating humans with dog shampoo and how it is harmful. You also have to remember to much head lice treatment can be harmful as well. The clothes, bedding, has to be washed, floors vacuumed, parents, and over night friends also have to be treated. Head lice is more than a one time deal and an hour of work. I have a family of six and head lice happened, but it took us 2 treatments to beat the problem, and tons of cleaning, and washing. One thing is that if everyone and everything isn't treated and cleaned it won't go away. That means bagging toys untill the problem is solved. My Dr. gave us some stuff you leave in for 12-14 hours, and it worked great! We used the lice comb everyday for 2 weeks, to make sure we catching all lice and eggs we might have missed. Good Luck and if done properly you can beat head lice.
First of all, do you have legal rights to see your children? If so, she cannot hold your children from you, unless you prove unfit. Tell her that the shampoo is dangerous for children, and to use a children's shampoo!! If she gets mad and tries to keep you children from you, report her, and fight for your rights to see them!
This probably isn't what you want to hear..but they're her kids too.I'm sure she was doing what she thought was best for them.Everyone makes mistakes.

I'd say forgive her and move on..unless the kids are really upset by this?

Then if you make a mistake in the near future, you can remind her of the dog shampoo incident haha

Don't do anything rash to jepordise your paternal rights.
You won't. Just tell her that dog shampoo will not get rid of the lice, that you have to have special shampoo....as well as bag up all stuffed toys, pillows, blankets with a special spray and vacuum that crap out of everything. Lice sucks!

Go buy the stuff and take it to her.
Ohhhh you got one of those exs, huh? Man, I'm sorry! Im in my mid-30's and the ex has finally calmed down a little, but I feel ya. You got to tell it to her straight. Or do the treatment yourself. Lice shampoo isn't that much at Wal-Mart. Dog shampoo? That could be damaging to their scalp! She sounds like an idiot.
That is very unacceptable! You should just approach the situation as calmly as possible! They are your children too and she cannot keep you away from them because of something like this. Also remember that by her doing something like this she could have them taken away from her.
i guess you dont. the head lice are indicative of a filthy home, and i doubt you are going to volunteer to come and clean it every week.
LOL All though it says Dog Shampoo its basically the same ingredients . I give that person credit for improvising . Believe it or not allot of people use dog shampoo because it makes there hair shine
One could set up a meeting with a professional in discussing parenting issues with the other parent..
maybe go and buy some lice shampoo for your kids and say lets try this.
Tell her to read the bottle. I'm sure it says that it shouldn't be used on humans.
why dont you clean the childrens hair?

she wont have to use it then
try putting ur ex on a leash--she might get it
oh please honey, you just tell her, that is horrible.
just be honest with her but in a tactful way

  • Dose any one know what kinda shampoo I need to baith a Sphynx ?

dose any one know what kinda shampoo I need to baith a Sphynx ?

can I get an answer with the name of the shampooDose any one know what kinda shampoo I need to baith a Sphynx ?
i would assume cat shampooDose any one know what kinda shampoo I need to baith a Sphynx ?
any mild shampoo like Ivory will work, but why bathe, the cat should keep it's self clean.
You want to choose a few bath products for your Sphynx before doing anything else. Go to your local pet store and browse the cat section. Find the aisle that has bathing supplies. Look for a high quality shampoo. It should be labeled, ';For Cats and Kittens';, or ';For Dogs and Cats';. Never, ';For Dogs and Puppies';, ';For use on Ferrets';, or anything like that. After choosing soap, get a simple sponge. Not a kitchen sponge, but one of those big ones used for bathing or showering. You won't find these at pet stores, but you can buy one at Family Dollar or Big Lots. Then, get some cotton balls for cleaning sensitive areas like behind the ears or under the eyes, and a few towels for drying off and putting at the bottom of where your cat will be bathed. If you want to clean the inside of your cat's ears, get a package of Q-Tips, too.

Put a clean towel at the bottom of your kitchen sink and fill it half way with warm water. Don't worry about the towel floating to the top, the cat's weight will keep it in place.

Put a small amount of the cat shampoo in the water and mix until it is sudsy.

Gently place the cat into the sink. Put some of the shampoo into a cup and mix it with water. This makes it easier to wash off. (This works well with dogs, too.)

Wet the sponge and pour your mixture onto it.

Lather it onto your cat very gently. Make sure that you wash everywhere!

Wet a cotton ball with clean water, and clean behind the ears, under and in the corners of the eyes, and by the nose.

Drain your sink,or if your sink has two compartments, put sudsy water in one part and clean water in the other. If not, hold your cat while it drains, and put clean water in the sink once the sudsy water is gone.

Rinse all the soap off the Sphynx cat. Once he/she is all clean, dry him/her with a soft fluffy towel. Make sure your cat is completely dry before putting the towel away.

When dry,put a sweater on your cat, or if it's hot outside, a little sunscreen, and give him/her a treat.
Shampoo is for fur and this cat doesn't have any. Just use a few drops of mild dish soap. DAWN works best.
Nature has supplied most animals with their own natural way of keeping clean, and they cannot cope with soap and water the way humans do.

Cats especially can keep themselves clean, which is why they are always washing themselves. Many animals have a natural protection in their fur or feathers, which protects them rain and cold. Bathing animals with soap and water will remove this protection and the animals could catch cold and die.

Please think long and hard before giving your cat a bath. In the absolute worse case scenario, put some flour or cornstarch into the coat and brush it out. That will get rid of any odors your cat might have.

You can actually make an animal very sick by trying to wash it. You might make it catch the flu and die.

Just a quick FYI: some people mistakenly believe bathing a pet is a way to bond with them. It doesn鈥檛. In order to bond with a pet, all experiences need to be positive, and bathing is more than likely to cause distrust and fear.
For people who don't understand, Sphynx cats, being hairless produce more sebum that helps protect the skin. But this sebum can build up and leave oil stains where ever the cat lays, sits, etc...

Sphynx cats, like hairless chihuahuas need regular bathing.

Ask your vet for the best shampoo for your cat. You want one that will cut the waxy sebum so it can be removed. Also, contact your breeder and ask them what you should use. If you bought this kitten from a pet store, get it vetted immediately. If there is something wrong with the kitten you can take it back to the pet store and get your money back. Most pet stores have a 2-3 day health guarantee. But most pet stores sell sick animals from puppy and kitten mills.

I found that it makes hair smell really good but kinda dries it out. So if you are going to use it, use a good conditioner and that will be fine. I had a peppermint kind over the holidays and I loved it, but I mainly just used it for bodywash.

2 in 1 Shampoo Conditioner, what is a Good One?

I've tried Pert 2 in 1 and disliked it, any others?2 in 1 Shampoo Conditioner, what is a Good One?
pantene pro-v is really good in their 2 in 1. pert sucks by the way.2 in 1 Shampoo Conditioner, what is a Good One?
none. they have too many harsh cleansers in them
First, why do u need 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner? Oily hair? oily scalp and dry ends? There's some other options u may try. But anyways, if u want to go with this, there's a Dove one which is good, and a Pantene Pro V which is very good too.
    I love pantene pro-v.
i dont like 2 n 1...how can they clean and condition your hair at the same time ??? buy 2 seperate bottles
Treseme has a really good two in one
Try tresemme and DOVE...i loveeeee dove :)
Head %26amp; Shoulders has a lot more formulas and fragrances. Their 2 n 1 makes your hair feel great. Give H%26amp;S a try.
    Head n shoulders is good
Pantene Pro-V has a really good 2 in 1, but it depends on what ur hair is like. Is it oily, dry, flat? You should look for a shampoo with your specific hair type. Another good one is head and shoulders and they have a lot of different types for different hair.
Vidal sasoon was the best! (in the yellow bottle). But you can't get it any more. If anyone knows how to get it, Please answer this site.
never ever get head n' sholders!! the put ALOT of chemicals in it!!

i dont like any of them, they dont work as good as if you buy them seperate

  • If a shampoo has least ingedients, is it safer than one with more?

Okay, some shampoos have like 15 ingredients while others have like 30.

Which would be safer? If a shampoo has least ingedients, is it safer than one with more?
what matters is what the ingredients are. if you want a safer shampoo look for natural shampoo that have no chemicals in them, but they might be a little more expensive. If a shampoo has least ingedients, is it safer than one with more?
It depends on what those ingredients are. The shampoo with 15 ingredients could have one ingredient that is a harsher chemical than the 30 ingredients in the other brand. My suggestion is to read the ingredient list and look for things that you recognise. If there's a chemical in there that sounds weird, don't buy it. I buy my shampoo from my salon - it's imported from Italy called Davines http://www.davines.com/ it's expensive but makes your hair look really lovely, Jennifer Aniston uses it. The brand uses all natural ingredients and tries to be environmentally sustainable
well not really. It may depend on how harsh the shampoo ingriedients are. Basically if one has 30 and the other has 15 but the 15 one has poison in it to make your hair nice and shiny, odviously it'snot the safeest one.
Not necessarily. It depends on what they are. Most shampoos are pretty safe, but if you're worried, try something with more NATURAL ingredients.
It really depends on the ingredients it has. Try looking for one with less preservatives and more organic material.
The one's without the toxic ingredients, no matter how many mixed to make a concoction of shampooists.
it depends what the ingredients are.
just use the freakin shampoo. you know they are tested on animals so they are safe for us.
not really unless it has more fragrance then it could irritate your scalp
If they were not safe then they wouldn't be sold..... hopefully.

Just make sure they are not from China and your set ;)
well sometimes. It depends but im pretty sure your safe
better living through chemicals enjoy a nice head of hair and then cancer...........

Is using shampoo for blondes if I have dark hair a good idea or a bad one?

I'm male and I want my hair to be a little lighter than it is.Is using shampoo for blondes if I have dark hair a good idea or a bad one?
Use a shampoo with a color glaze. Other than that, the shampoos for different hair colors don't really do much. It won't hurt your hair though. Is using shampoo for blondes if I have dark hair a good idea or a bad one?
I don't think it will hurt your hair at all but... It probably will not make it lighter either. You could use any kind of shampoo for any hair color and it probably won't change the color, unless you go darker.
Shampoo for blondes usually has some strong yellow dyes in it, which supposedly makes blondes less faded. On darker hair, it won't be strong enough to show. There will be no harm done.

However, as to the matter of being lighter, that can only happen by removing some of your own colour pigments from the hair. This means using some form of bleach, whether chemical or through natural exposure of the sun. But be aware that removing some colour from the hair (usually the blue pigments) will leave more of the red and gold pigments, perhaps making your hair an unpleasant orange.

There is no way to make your hair lighter without the removal of colour from your hair, which is a permanent change to the structure of the hair. Your hair will still grow out as it always has, only the portion on the outside of the skin wil be affected.

You can, however, use a very strong yellow surface stain which can give the impression of being lighter when light is reflected from the hair. This will give the illusion of the hair being only a level lighter, depending how dark your own hair is.

    Which shampoo one to use?

I went to my friends house and his mom asked me for help with what shampoo and conditioner to use for her foster kids hair, one has curly hair, the other has straight hair. She says that when she used the shampoo she had it looked to greasy but then when she didn't use it, it looked dry. She is trying to figure what shampoo to use but i don't have the answer. Anyone can help me with this? O BTW their moms are white/Indian, and the other the father is black to that sort, if that helps.Which shampoo one to use?
I don't know if this will help but here goes, here are some kids shampoos that don't give split ends or rummpled dry hair:

    Loreal

Johnson shampoo like the baby shampoo... it's really gentle

Suave... It smells good, but it's cheap... (not expensive price)

Maybe Pantene( It's kinda storng , well depends on the hair, if ur hair is sensitive with split ends hair then i don't think it'll work out.

But i prefer Loreal and johnson .... Loreal makes ur hair smell good...and it's easy to rid out of grease.

Johnson is easy becuase it's for babies but kids can use it because it doesn't go in ur eyes, lol another hand it gentle to babies but for kids it can work fine...

Johnson doesn't make hair dry or greasy

Please explain your answer scientifically. Why a pH-balanced shampoo is better than one that is not?
Some shampoos have more wax base ingredients than others and all of the wax doesn't wash all the way out, and can goo up your hair, some don't have quite as much or none at all and it's better for your hair. Tresemme is a good brand and is pretty inexpensive.

  • Does it matter to change hair shampoo every one or two months?

I have normal hair, and I have no problem as such with my hair. And I change my hair shampoo every one or second month. Is it wrong?

Would it harm my hair? I am male and have short hair.

Any suggestions.....Does it matter to change hair shampoo every one or two months?
Well, I was always told that it's better to change your shampoo because using the same thing over and over again causes build-up in your hair. I change shampoo and conditioner every time I run out of whatever I bought and even with perming and coloring my hair, my hairdresser always tells me what good shape my hair is in.Does it matter to change hair shampoo every one or two months?
Thanks for best answer! :) Report Abuse

Yes, it is WRONG. Why do you think that advertisers try to show you that you'll get sex if you use THEIR particular brand? You need to have brand loyalty; not having it means that you are defeating the noble marketing/ad peeps. Come on! These guys only make huge amounts of money if their attempts to control our spending habits are successful--have brand loyalty and support a rich guy buying another overpriced car, yacht, summerhome, or supporting another mistress!

Yes, you are harming your hair. Remember, hair doesn't have any brains (unless you yank really hard and get some bits of brain along with the roots...but that's a different scenario). So hair really can't deal with change, and you are probably upsetting your hair no end by changing the mix of chemicals with which you are treating it. Seriously, have a heart and be sensitive to the feelings of your stupid hair!

    ;-)

OK, seriously, I think it's a great idea. Changing what you use probably prevents the buildup of any particular thing in your hair/on your scalp, and it certainly reduces your exposure to whatever is in a given shampoo...which could be significant, over time.
I've heard that every other month, men, should use a dandruff control shampoo. %26amp; the next month use the normal shampoo. It supposedly works well %26amp; isn't hard to keep track off. If you don't want to try that, i don't think it matters if you change it, its just better to use a dandruff control every other month :p hope i helped
I do change. Many company says that shampoos can make hair thick, long, but actual is that it is only a medium to clean hair.

    But Loreal is my favorite.
It is good idea to keep changing your shampoo. In this way, you get all the nutrients of the different shampoos which is good for hair.
if i dont change my shampoo and conditioner ever once in a while my hair get all dirty looking and feels dirty before its even dry so thats all i can say about that
it doesn't matter much, only if you are using good shampoos.

Is using more than one shampoo brand better for my hair>?

I know for sure that if you use dandruff shampoos, you are supposed to alternate between different kinds. Apparently the skin cells in your scalp can become immune to brands. Weird right? Other than that, I like to switch shampoos. I always feel like there's a little bit of a difference after : )Is using more than one shampoo brand better for my hair%26gt;?
Yes, your hair can become immune to shampoos and conditioners after awhile. Switch to some other brand for about a month then go back to your favorite brand and it will work great again.

I'm looking for a shampoo with a similar scent to the discontinued Clairol Herbal Essence, can you suggest one?

I used the formula for oily hair available in the 90's and early 2000's. It was in a clear bottle but the shampoo was actually green. In order to have a Healthy Hair , Should we Change our Shampoo Regularly or Stick to one ?

Its healthier for your hair to change your shampoo every once in a while. It may seem like your hair gets ';used'; to the shampoo, but actually the shampoo begins to cause build up in your hair, and it doesn't get rid of it like it should. If you regularly change your shampoo, then you're rinsing the buildup out of your hair which will make it healthier and lighter and cleaner. In order to have a Healthy Hair , Should we Change our Shampoo Regularly or Stick to one ?
1-you should select a shampo in proportion with need of your hair for example if your hair have dandruff you can use anti dandruff shampoo or if you have dry hair you will use dry hair';s shampoo and then use hair condoitioner,2-change your shampoo every 6 month .In order to have a Healthy Hair , Should we Change our Shampoo Regularly or Stick to one ?
Mix it up, per my and past hairdressers. Contact HAIR, Ed Covey 904-387-5008. An occasional super moisturizer will help too, Ed recommends PHYTO products. Only use the moisturizer about once a month or more often depending on dryness.

if you use any shampoo and work at the hair well and make sure you coat everything well and rinse everything well, there should be no smell besides shampoo fragrance and maybe a little wet dog. you may not be washing well enough. when your bored, go to petsmart.com and petco.com and just look at all the shampoos they have to offer, there might be something you like. Get up as much as possible with a dry towel. Do you have any microfiber cloths. That would work well. When you get as much shampoo as possible, get a verily damp cloth to finish. How do I get spilled shampoo off a tile floor w/ out water.... That just makes a bigger mess 2 work w/.Any one
Wipe it up with a big rag towel to get the majority of it. Then if there is still some left, like in the grout, since you said it is a tile floor, I would just put a little bit of water on it to kind of thin it out, and wipe it up with a damp rag until it comes clean. You'll have a nice clean spot on the floor when you're done. :)
paper towels first then white vinegar
I'd use flour or baking soda (preferably -- rinses cleaner) to absorb it, then sweep it / scoop it up. Rinse the residue away by hand with a damp towel. Works great for egg yolks in the kitchen, too! Good luck!
Use something like corn meal or fine kitty litter to absorb it.
Get a wet vac or extraction cleaner. Pull what you can using the vacuum alone and then add small amounts of water to loosen the rest.

You might have to empty and rinse the canister of the vacuum several times (as if fills up with suds), but it will be easier then any other options I see.
I agree with the baking soda to absorb it and then you can just scrape up the bulk of it. After that wipe with a damp cloth.
just soak it up with some paper towels
    try a baster bubble

Is their a good shampoo or hair treatment that helps hair grow in one spot ?

I sometimes have this prob when i am stressed. I have found that Jason's thin to thick hair serum works the best. I buy it at Vitamin cottage.

    use laundry soap

    not hair shampoo
i would assume as long as you rinse them well it will be ok

Is it ok to mix your shampoo and conditioner together so it would become a two in one?

I don't really like using the shampoo then rinsing it out and then putting the conditioner in and then rinsing that out. Can you mix the two together or would that be a bad idea?Is it ok to mix your shampoo and conditioner together so it would become a two in one?
Bad idea.. The shampoo will clean away what the conditioner normally leaves in your hair to make it conditioned.. Know what I mean? There is no such thing as a 2 in 1.. I dont care what they say..Is it ok to mix your shampoo and conditioner together so it would become a two in one?
unless they come in the same bottle, no.

the formulation of the conditioner is designed to nuetralize the soap in the shampoo.

    they cancel each other out.

ever put too much soap in the washing machine?

add a little fabric softener and the suds go away, it works a lot the same.
I think that would be fine. I do a lot of product-mixing in the shower and have never had a problem.

Worst case scenario: the conditioner could make your hair too oily and not allow the shampoo to clarify it well.

    Give it a try!
I don't believe they are made to mix together..........
Read the instructions first. Usually shampoo is only for a quick clean and rinse. If shampoo is left in longer it might strip your hair on needed oils because of that quick clean. Conditioner on the other hand is usually to be left in longer and replaces the necessary oils that shampoos can take away.
it will do nothing bad to your hair
    Give it a try !
Buy a two in one...they sell them everywhere.
If u use seperately it can do the job well. But no harm in mixing.

According to Andrew Marr it is better to never wash or shampoo one's hair. Any comments?

He's right - you should never need to wash your hair. The only reason hair gets greasy and smelly is precisely because we wash it too much. Shampoo strips the scalp of its natural oils and when washed, it goes onto overdrive to produce more.

If you stop washing it (you can rinse it with water, just don't use shampoo), it starts to clean itself after about 6 weeks - I did it once for a year and it didn't smell or seem dirty at all. The only reason I now wash my hair is because I have it long and use straighteners, which dries it out.

But if you leave it completely to its own devices and don't tamper with it by colouring/styling/heat-drying it, it will be fine :)According to Andrew Marr it is better to never wash or shampoo one's hair. Any comments?
How about, eeeeewwwwww?According to Andrew Marr it is better to never wash or shampoo one's hair. Any comments?
true, the natural oils in your hair will keep it healthy
If you live on a desert island, with no parasites, have no skin conditions, and have no-one to offend, he's probably right.
Better for who??? Thats disgusting. And who the hell is Andrew Marr?? His hair must look like he has had 10W40 poured on his head.
Is Andrew Marr bald? I'm not sure where he's getting this idea, but it's better to wash and condition your hair regularly than to let it just be subject to weather damage.
Have you seen people who never shampoo their hair? It looks bloomin' awful! Believe me, I've seen people who preach this crap, and it's utter rot.

Centuries ago, most of us didn't really need to wash our hair. The air itself was cleaner because we weren't burning fossil fuels at a rate of knots. So if you live somewhere really primitive with no-one around to offend, go ahead and try it.
Ewww! I don't know who Andrew Marr is but that is just nasty. :P
I'd tell that person to stay at least six feet away from me.
He is an idiot. I hope he shaves his head.
it is possible for your hair to clean itself with natural oils, and it is kept just as clean as it you wash it.

however if you have been using shampoo etc... on your hair this stops the natural oils from being produced and cleaning your hair, these however kick in again after about 5 months of not washing your hair.

    so stick to the shampoo.
No it isn't you filthy beast.
I sell organic produce at a local market.

I'll tell you the minute I got home I must of spent 2hrs in the shower %26amp; went thru a whole bottle of shampoo. To this day I can;t go a day without running water over my head %26amp; body.
I f I don't wash my hair everyday I look and feel like cr-p. I an old geezer and still have great hair.
You need to wash!! If you are concerned, use non chemical formulas. Organical shampoo's are great. Wash ever other day as well. I do think we as a civilized world need to wash....to stop disease, lice, dander etc.
That may well be true but I would prefer to pass.

  • Can anyone IN JAPAN recommend a reasonably priced two-in-one shampoo + conditioner suitable for kids?

I'm on the outskirts of Tokyo prefecture, and my daughter's supply of L'Oréal kids shampoo from the UK has almost run out!

The only decent looking two-in-one I've found so far is a Ban-dai kids effort - 357円 for 150 ml. We did find another one once, we bought it from a local 100円 store ... but it was SO drying we had to use conditioner afterwards anyway! Can't use something like that on my daughter, she has fairly fine hair, and it will frizz up like a bush if she uses grotty shampoo..!

So I would be very grateful for any (sensible, and Japan based) recommendations for a decent yet not-expensive product! Also, which shops you've found it in - and all the kanji etc. from the front please, so I know exactly what I'm looking for..!!Can anyone IN JAPAN recommend a reasonably priced two-in-one shampoo + conditioner suitable for kids?
Have you tried Soft in One? It costs 1,000 yen for a big bottle. You would want to try the pink colored one since it is the しっとり(moisturizing) type. But to give you more selection, the second link is all the 2-in-1 shampoos you can buy online. They also have Johnson's kid 2-in-1 shampoo. In Japanese they call 2-in-1 shampoo リンスインシャンプー (rinse in shampoo) so you can ask your neighborhood for リンスインシャンプー.Can anyone IN JAPAN recommend a reasonably priced two-in-one shampoo + conditioner suitable for kids?
I hope that you will be able to find one that is suitable for your daughter! Report Abuse

Foreign Buyer's Club probably has the L'Oreal you are looking for, among other things.

To be honest, I haven't seen any 2 in 1 since I've been in Japan. They all have seperate bottles.
If you(she) are suffering from the itchy scalp, try Merit.

Either separate or two-in-one are availavle.

I like this cos it's hypoallergenic. However, I'm little worry about your word ';drying'; for your daughter.

    Please try this yourself first.
When you try to wash and condition in one step, all you are doing is keeping the dirt on her hair and making it slimy at the same time.

    Try Suntori Sake!

What kind of shampoo and conditioner would be good to use when I can't use Hair One/Wen Hair system?

I love the Hair One (Wen alternative from Sally's) product line but I don't have the time to use it every morning. What would be a good shampoo and conditioner to use when I can't use Hair One?What kind of shampoo and conditioner would be good to use when I can't use Hair One/Wen Hair system?
    A conditioner (co-wash).

A moisturizing shampoo like V05 moisture milks.

A sulfate free shampoo; something organic or natural like Yes to Carrots or Giovanni.

I use Wen exclusively, but when I run out I might buy Giovanni. I also use V05 moisture milks for stuff that's hard to get out like shea butter and oil, but that's only because Wen is too expensive to wash my hair several times trying to get that stuff out.

Shampoo or Conditioner : Which one is the one that I'm supposed to ';repeat'; on?

Explanations would be great.Shampoo or Conditioner : Which one is the one that I'm supposed to ';repeat'; on?
Usually the shampoo is applied twice: The first time is to get rid of the unwanted dirt, gel, spray or whatever you use in your hair. The second time you apply it, is to really clean your hair and leave a nice scent. The conditioner is only applied once, but preferably not every day (in case you wash your hair daily). Unless you have a very curly or thick hair, it is better to use the conditioner only two or three times a week the most. Hair becomes dull and lifeless when you use conditioner more often than this.Shampoo or Conditioner : Which one is the one that I'm supposed to ';repeat'; on?
    Never Repeat on shampoo.

When you shampoo - you're stripping the dirt and oils from your hair - but the vital ones to maintain healthy hair. You should only use a dime sized amount of shampoo and according to the type of hair you have you should only shampoo every two days.

Conditioner replaces those needed oils with a synthetic type which only make your hair seem softer. But overuse of both will dry your hair out and can cause breakage.
Most people would say you should shampoo, rinse, then repeat (the shampoo). The first time lifts the dirt, oil and leftover hair product, while the second is supposed to wash it away. I'm not sure it really matters though, I personally haven't noticed a difference when I don't ';repeat';.
Shampoo. I have no idea why but I never see ';repeat if necessary'; on conditioner bottles.

    Anyone want to answer mine?

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Lol ignore the label, repeating will fry your hair! Also, if your hair isn't very greasy, only shampoo and condition every other day.
Shampoo twice to make it extra clean

A cleansing shampoo should be used about once a week to clear all the buildup of hair products and gunk in your hair. The best one I've tried is clarifying shampoo by Neutrogena. Make sure not to use it on a regular basis though because it'll strip your hair dry.
A good one that I just started to use is ';Drama Clean'; by Herbal Essences. I have long, thick hair and the shampoo and conditioner make sure my hair is squeaky clean. If you use a lot of hairspray and gel you can use the sister shampoo called Degunkify. All of these bottles are green colored.

What's that one anime called with a character named Shampoo?

And a black-haired guy and a red-haired girl that look eerily similar, and with a blue-haired chick?

I used to watch it when I was, what, seven? Eight? And I just thought it would be a good idea to rewatch it. So what's it called? What's that one anime called with a character named Shampoo?
    The show's called Ranma 1/2 =D

The black haired guy and red haired girl are actually the same person. XD

    Plot:

On a training journey in the Bayankala Mountain Range in the Qinghai Province of China, Ranma Saotome and his father Genma fall into the cursed springs at Jusenkyo. When someone falls into a cursed spring, they take the physical form of whatever drowned there hundreds or thousands of years ago whenever they come into contact with cold water. The curse will revert when exposed to hot water until their next cold water exposure. Genma fell into the Spring of the Drowned Panda while Ranma fell into the Spring of the Drowned Girl.

Upon returning to Japan, the pair settle in the dojo of Genma's old friend Soun Tendo, a fellow practitioner of Musabetsu Kakutō Ryū or ';Anything-Goes'; school of martial arts which Genma passed on to Ranma. Genma and Soun agreed years ago that their children would marry and carry on the Tendo Dojo. Soun has three teenaged daughters: Kasumi, Nabiki and the hot-tempered, but helpful, martial arts practicing Akane. As Akane is Ranma's age she is appointed for bridal duty by her sisters. Their reasoning is that Akane dislikes men, and that Ranma is only a man half of the time; therefore, they are perfect together. Although both initially refuse the engagement having not been consulted on the decision, they are generally treated as betrothed and end up helping or saving each other on numerous occasions. They are frequently found in each other's company and are constantly arguing in their trademark awkward love-hate manner that is a franchise focus.

    The Ranma½ cast

Ranma goes to school with Akane at Furinkan High, where he meets his recurring opponent Tatewaki Kuno, the kendo team captain who is aggressively pursuing Akane, but who also falls in love with Ranma's female form without discovering his curse. Furinkan serves as a backdrop for more martial arts mayhem with the introduction of Ranma's regular rivals, the eternally lost Ryoga Hibiki, the nearsighted Mousse, and Ranma's perverted grandmaster Happosai. His prospective paramours include the martial arts rhythmic gymnastics champion Kodachi Kuno, and his second fiancée and childhood friend Ukyo Kuonji the okonomiyaki vendor, along with the Chinese Amazon Shampoo, supported by her great-grandmother Cologne. As the series progresses, the school becomes more eccentric with the return of the Hawaii-obsessed Principal Kuno and the placement of the power-leeching alternating child/adult Hinako Ninomiya as Ranma's English teacher.

    And about Shampoo:

Shampoo came to Japan to kill the female Ranma after he defeated her in an annual martial contest so he and Genma could eat the prize, a fully stocked banquet table. She gave Ranma's female form the ';Kiss of Death';, a promise to track her down and eventually kill her. Later, after being defeated by Ranma in male form, she gave him the ';Kiss of Marriage.'; Due to Amazon law, she is then bound to either kill or marry him. Unaware at first that girl and boy Ranma were the same person, she is heartbroken upon learning the truth and returns home to be retrained at Jusenkyo by her great-grandmother Cologne, but she became cursed and turns into a cat — the one thing Ranma fears most. She is no longer fixated on wanting to kill Ranma, and now just wants to marry him. Having returned to Nerima, Tokyo, Japan, Shampoo waits tables at the Cat Cafe (Neko Hanten), her great-grandmother's restaurant, and delivers ramen by bicycle, occasionally running down people—particularly Ranma—on the streets and rooftops. She has stated variations on 'obstacle is for killing' as a personal motto, which even included Akane when the latter was captured and tied up by Pantyhose Taro. What's that one anime called with a character named Shampoo?

  • What ingredient in shampoo is the best for your hair? Is there one specific ingredient to look for?

There are so many on the market and wondering if you really need to spend a lot of money to get great shampoo products? What ingredient in shampoo is the best for your hair? Is there one specific ingredient to look for?
When our schedule is hectic the best way to keep our heair clean, shiny and smelling good is by using shampoos. But that would ofcourse depend on the brands we are used to applying in our hair . It might be effective in our kind of hair and scalp but may cause dandruff to others, however, there are remedies to that kind of problem. Apply , oil from coconut

to your heair ones a week or when you are not too bussy. Massage with your scalp and hair, leave it there for 15 to 30 minutes then wash it but not to apply shampoo. It will really help in caring for your hair and scalp.

How many times in a week one should use bathing soap and shampoo?

I should hope that you would use bathing soap, and shampoo, everyday...or what the heck...have I been overdoing it!!

xoxo agoodgirl_msjHow many times in a week one should use bathing soap and shampoo?
The best way to choose a mate is with your nose. Studies have shown that masking our odor completely attempts to short circuit our natural ability to communicate with each other. Your hair secretes natural oils that were useful to humans for hundreds of thousands of years. Your skin is doing the same thing. In fact the hair under your arms and around your pubic region is there for the sole purpose of trapping your aroma so you will attract a mate that is chemically right for you. There is nothing wrong with showering as few times as once a week if you are not particularly active or dirty. Your body is not filthy just because of some healthy perspiration. Daily hand washing with soap is a good idea because it helps prevent the spread of germs, and fortunately, we don't choose our mates by sniffing their fingers. Although I must say my woman's hands smell fabulous. She uses no perfumes or deodorant and I just cannot get enough of her natural aroma. How many times in a week one should use bathing soap and shampoo?
I guess for shampoo it would be good for about four(4) times a week.

    Soap would be use everyday.

Being hygienic all the time would be best even though soap and shampoo are not used everyday.
well ideally, you should use them every time you bathe. essentially you should take a bath at least everyday.
bathing soap should be used everyday

although i try not to wash my hair everyday as it strips your head of its natural oils.
You can bathe and shampoo as many times that you feel you should. I shower and wash my hair everyday.
Bathing soap use 2 time /day... Shampoo use 2 time /week in summer.. shampoo use 1 time/week in other season...
i take a shower everyday and shampoo and condition and clean myself
    soap 2 times a day

    shampoo 2 times a week
I bath and and shampoo a least twice a day,
    everyday i hope...

Is it OK for me to shampoo, conditioner, and then deep conditioner all in one shower?

Or should I only use one conditioner? Is it OK for me to shampoo, conditioner, and then deep conditioner all in one shower?
My hair stylist told me that theres no need to use conditioner if are using a deep conditioner, because it can get your hair damaged. But I personally think, that you should get a deep conditioner once a week, because it can leave your hair greasy when you use it too much, or it will lose its effect.

If your not going out or anything, give your hair a rest and just use shampoo and conditioner as normally. :)Is it OK for me to shampoo, conditioner, and then deep conditioner all in one shower?
Shampoo and condition every night; do a clarifying shampoo and deep conditioner once a week; also, after a towel dry, you can take a little bit of conditioner- about a dime size each hand, and rub in into your hair and leave it. No need to buy the so called ';leave-in'; conditioners- this works just as well.
    yeah that's fine.

personally i do a co-wash;; wash my hair with just conditioner, and the use deep conditioner afterward. it leaves your hair soft and silky, and it's actually healthier [shampoos strip your hair.].

but yess, you can do all three, no problem.
shampoo about 3 times a week to prevent drying your hair out, condition every time you shower, deep condition once a week to prevent weighing your hair down.
I do every day! and i have a lott of hair. i do mainly bc i don't want any damage. but if you're hair is prone to grease/build up i wouldn't! :)
It's much healthier for your hair with only one conditioner.

But whatever, some people enjoy having ruined hair.
It's fine , but you don't need to deep condition every single shower...
i don't really think it makes a difference

Is it okay to use diff. baby products(lotion, shampoo, etc) until you find one your comfortable with?

...Or should you stick to just one brand? Is it okay to use diff. baby products(lotion, shampoo, etc) until you find one your comfortable with?
Yes, there is nothing wrong with finding the brand you are comfortable with. And if it's your first child, you will likely have a good chance to try different products because you will probably get lots of different stuff at your baby shower :)Is it okay to use diff. baby products(lotion, shampoo, etc) until you find one your comfortable with?
yes definitely!! we used the Johnson's and johnson head to toe body wash until i figured that a baby shampoo would be more appropriate for her hair since she sweat there more. 2 weeks later she began to have eczema so we switched to aveeno, its been working for us ever since.. but i definitely feel you should try different things especially since everything is getting more expensive..you never know the cheaper ones can save a bundle of money and do the same job if not better!
It is fine to change until you find something that you like, But if you have a very new baby, then you probably shouldn't be using lotions at all. My baby had very dry skin at first and this sounds very odd but the pediatrician told me no lotions, but that I could use Safflower Oil (yes the cooking kind). It worked great- didn't smell and soaked right into her skin and didn't leave oil everywhere.
The BEST advise I've ever been given and what I like to pass on is to go with your intuition and what you know is best for your baby. I like to hear what others' (some) have to say, but ultimately, I do what feels right to me.

I've always used natural products on my son. Some of my favorites are: Wal-mart, near me, carries this product at a very reasonable price is Tom's of Main, natural moisturizing bath wash. It's scent free, but not tear free. The one I used on my son after he was born was Aubrey Organics, Baby Wash. I've used a lot of their products and really love them.

If a product is too harsh or not right for your baby, you'll know shortly after using the product if he/she breaks out in a rash. I've never had that happen using the natural products, but have friends who this has happened to using some common Name Brands.

I wouldn't use baby shampoo no matter what brand it was. The reason baby shampoos are ';no tears'; is because it is made with saline...saline is salt water...and salt dries. I have always used Pantene on my kids hair even when they were babies...you just have to be careful not to get it into their eyes.
Of course! As the others have said though, wait about a week before trying something new. I have found Boudreaxs Butt Bath works great, its ph balanced for baby's skin...its a great shaving aid for mom too, leaves your skin much softer than shaving creams and gels.
seriously before you use ANY baby product on your baby google the words on the back, you will be disgusted and horrified at what you find!! I use all natural products now. chlorine? formaldehyde? alcohol? not on my baby!!!
It is Ok but use them for at least a week before switching to another. That way you will no which one, if any, irritates their skin or they are allergic to.
its alright but dont switch too soon after using one. give it some time. i like Aveeno, they have the best products :)
Sure, but give it a week ,then if you don't like it change.
Oh, yes. If you don't, a Johnson's representative comes into your family's bathroom and says ';Tsk, tsk. You should have spent more on that scented soap!'; until you switch back.

Is it true that using more than one kind of shampoo will keep your hair from damage?

it really depends on the hair type and shampoo that you are using...

here is an article that you can read as a reference for issue that shampoo's can damage your hair,

http://www.articlesbase.com/women%27s-is鈥?/a>Is it true that using more than one kind of shampoo will keep your hair from damage?
you should do a scientific experiment on that question.

I'm using different shampoos, but I really don't pay attention to that. Is it true that using more than one kind of shampoo will keep your hair from damage?
No. I use different kind of shampoo provided the brand i use doesn't give me dandruff.

And, I haven't experienced having a hair damage.
It's usually advised to change shampoos. However, your hair will be kept from damage only if you use quality ones.
If so all of my hair would be falling out because i wash my hair everyday with tresemme shampoo and conditioner.
