If I limit my hair washing with shampoo one week, how can I keep the hair smell to a minimum?

I don't want to use shea butter and essential oil, because it's too greasy...

Is jojoba any better? If I limit my hair washing with shampoo one week, how can I keep the hair smell to a minimum?
well most people i know use shea butter but my mother also thinks this is too greasy. what she does is every 2 days or so, she wets the top of her hair and just shampoos the hair at the root on the crown/top of her head. this is where most of smelly oil production on your scalp takes place, so if you just clean that area, your hair wont smell. If you are trying to save money, you can rinse your hair with plain water and then rinse with a cup of water mixed with a tablespoon of vinegar. The vinegar helps get rid of buildup on the hair, it even works on hard water buildup and chlorine.

But seriously, you can try looking for cheaper brands of shampoo first.
Why limit it? Do you think you're using too much shampoo?

Do exactly what it says on the bottle wet hair, lather, rinse and repeat. Use a quarter size of shampoo for each wash. Make sure you

lather it really good and into your scalp rinse really well then repeat it.

Your hair is going to smell no matter what if you don't wash it often.

And either way it's going to get greasy.

The 95 cents shampoo is fine to use.

(Vo5) body and bounce shampoo and conditioner.
try using perfume or something that smells good. maybe a hairspray that you could spray lightly over you hair, something fruity, AUSSIE hairspray smells good. or you could try washing every two days? please answer my question!

There isa product that is like mousse. It is what they use in nursinghomes and places where it is not easy to wash the hair daily. It smells pretty nice, but is quite costly. Try Sally Beauty supply or your local version of Sally.
